My Rearranged Copic Chart

It’s been raining cats and dogs here in SoCal! Yes, we get rain but not this much and it keeps coming. Don’t get me wrong, I am thrilled with all the rain, we need it and I stay in and get things done that I would normally put off because I love to garden. I have put this project off for far too long and, since I just purchased a new marker storage box, I decided it was time to tackle the task.

I have used the original Copic Marker Chart for years but it has always seemed too small. So the other day I downloaded the original from Copic, it’s free, and you can get it here!

As you can see the blocks are small and have little marker keys in some of the blocks which I found distracting. The dark Copic markers always covered up the color key and I was having to put my glasses on to see what was what!

After I downloaded the chart into Photoshop I rearranged the chart to suit my needs. Why PS? Because I’m much more familiar with PS, been using it since 1996, than I am with Illustrator!

Here is my rearranged chart!

As you can see I made the chart a bit more user friendly for me! The blocks are much larger and I have eliminated a few blocks I know I will not use. I added the Copic Logo just in case they get a bit ticked off that I rearranged their chart, LOL! As I indicated before this is more user friendly for me, I’m a papercrafter, not a graphic artist who might use the original chart to a better advantage.

What I really like is not covering up the color keys because the blocks are much larger!! What prompted me to redo the chart??? Two things, one, I was worried because of the remodel at the house I may have misplaced or lost a marker AND two, I just bought a Copic Marker storage box on Etsy that I LOVE!!! YES, I have all the markers and this box holds them all plus room for more! I did misplace one marker, E40…now where could it be??

I purchased the Copic storage box on Etsy from Purple Lake Stamps! They have two sizes, 300 markers and 358+ markers, I have the larger storage box, only because my OCD made me get all 358 of them! Please don’t judge! Plus, as you can see there is room for more…I hope not!!!

I really had fun with the reorganization of my markers, a trend I hope will continue as we get the house back together!

Thanks for stopping by…
