Hi everyone and thanks for dropping by! My projects for today feature products from ODBD’s January release.
My first card uses the Wishing stamp from the Wishing Words stamp set along with one of the many sentiments included in the set. I stamped Wishing with a dark green, then a light green on top and cut them out using the Double Stitched Rectangles die set. I created a negative space on a white panel using the same die set and taped Wishing into the window. I wrapped a ribbon around the card front and adhered to my card base with foam tape.
The flower was created using the Pretty Posies die set and paper from the Heart and Soul Paper Collection. I added a clear gem stone to the center of my flower and adhered to my card with a foam pop up. I added the large vine, from the Fancy Foliage set, a bow and green sequins to complete the card.
My next two cards have a Valentine feel but could be used for many occasions with just a change of color.
I started with an A2, top folding card base. I created an embossed a panel using the Quatrefoil Pattern die (one of my faves), wrapped it with pink cord and added to the card base with foam tape. The All Things journaling stamp was stamped with VersaMark and pink embossing powder, trimmed down and added to my panel with foam pop ups. I made three bows from the Small Bow die set and three hearts from the Ornate Hearts die set. The bows were added with foam tape; then the hearts were glued onto the bows and then pearls were added to finish the card.
The back panel for my next card uses the “smooshing” technique, something I have been wanting to try for a few months. I probably got a bit carried away (what can I say, I was having fun) but used it anyway!
For this card I added a strip of glitter tape along the left side of my A2 card base, trimmed off a 1/2″ of my “smooshed” panel and added to my card. The heart was made using the Ornate Hearts die set, a piece of vellum was added to the back of the heart to diffuse the busy panel.. The word Wishing was cut from pink paper and added to the heart with liquid glue. I added the large heart to the card with foam tape.
I didn’t have any glitter paper or gold rhinestones (I’m sure I have some but can’t find them, imagine that) so I decided to make my own. I just taped a piece of glitter tape to some card stock and used my 1/8″ hole punch to create the embellishments for the large heart. For the small heart I taped two pieces of glitter tape together and cut it out.
The dots were added to the large heart and then the little heart was added. The sentiment, from Wishing Words, was stamped with VersaMark ink and gold embossing powder, cut out using the Double Stitched Rectangles die set and added to card with foam tape. The card was finished with a few sequins.
Please stop by again!
