ODBD Wishing You…

I’m Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! Today starts a new year AND is the day for ODBD’s newest release and blog hop! Information on the blog hop can be found at the end of this post! Don’t miss out, blog hops are a lot of fun AND you could be a winner!!!

My card base is a real time saver! It’s one of the Fun & Fancy Folds card bases; I’m using the Center Step Card base. I covered the base with paper from the Blushing Rose Collection, added a hand dyed ribbon on the side and lace to the bottom. The image, from the Wishing Well stamp set, was stamped with VersaFine Sepia, colored with Copic markers and cut out with Double Stitched Circles die.

This new release also features a beautiful word die, Wishing! I cut it once with colored card stock and then two more times with white card stock and glued the layers together for dimension. Note: I should have used the same colored card stock, then you would not see the white! I added pearls for the dots above the i’s and Wink of Stella Clear for a little glimmer.

The stamp set, Wishing Words, includes many sentiments to coordinate with the Wishing Die! I used VersaMark and white embossing powder for my sentiment.

Another new stamp, All Things, is used in this wedding card. I stamped with VersaMark onto a pink striped paper and used white embossing powder. This panel is part of the inside of my card; I trimmed the front flap and added paper from the Shabby Rose Collection. The panel was wrapped with a ribbon before adhering to card front.

I added a pretty white border using one of the dies from the Beautiful Borders set. The sentiment, from the Wishing Well stamp set, was stamped with black ink and cut out with one of the dies from the Mini Tag set.

Robin, I think this is the first time I have really looked closely at your handiwork. Beautiful! I love the ease of the Bible journalling card. So simple, yet so serenely beautiful. And I always have a special appreciation for step cards. I love how you coloured the wishing well and also the papers you used. Fantastic! May your 2016 be one of great joy.

Very pretty cards! I love your ribbons & lace, just right & not overwhelming! 🙂 I like the sparkle of your Wishing word & use of pearls to dot the i’s! Ah, many wouldn’t notice or think twice about the white layers with the word. I have used a marker along the edge the few times I’ve let it bother me when I do it. 🙂 I also love your white embossing of the verse on the patterned paper, very pretty!

Both of your cards have beautifully elegant and vintage details. I noticed that you colored the well simply minimal. That has a great effect! It made your image have the same feel as your paper. I also loved the way you used the Bible art journaling stamp for your card. What an elegant wedding card! Someone will certainly be blessed!
