ODBD Mid-Month Release and Blog Hop!

Welcome back for ODBD Mid-Month release! This release features more beautiful stamps, dies and paper for the upcoming holidays! ODBD is also having a blog hop with prizes! More information on how you could win a gift cerfiticate at the end of this post. My first card uses the gold swirl design from the Christmas Card Collection 2015 paper pack!

I used the Leafy Edged Border Dies set, cutting one from a matte gold cardstock and one from the gold swirl paper, to create my front panel. I wrapped a gold ribbon around the panes, added a bow and adhered to my card base.

I stamped my sentiments, from the Perfect Light stamp set with gold embossing powder. To cut out my sentiments I used the plain ornament, from Elegant Embellishments Die set, and one of the labels from the Antique Labels & Border die set. Once cut out I sponged the edges with Delicata GoldenGlitz ink, my absolute favorite gold ink.

My next card features the Merry Mosaics die set; this set includes poinsettias, flower centers and leaves. I used the “Merry Christmas” panel from the Christmas Card Collection 2015 paper pack; this panel is actually the inside of my card.

I created a window, using the large label from the Vintage Labels die set. by cutting into my card base and again into snowflake embossed red paper.

My flowers, leaves and branches are cut from a light weight glitter paper; once cut and assembled I added Cranberry Stickles to the centers of the flowers. The branches are from the Fancy Foliage die set.

I added a pretty bow and my card was done. You can really save time by using the preprinted panels from this collection to make your holiday projects! And who doesn’t need extra time at this time of year?

Okay, so both cards get a Wow! I’ve never heard of the Delicata ink but I now want some. The gold on the first card is beautiful especially with that sentiment. It’s golden. (pun intended) On the second card, I love the traditional look of the red/green. The gold Mosaics and the checkered bow along with the glitzy paper is fantastic. I’d love to have someone send me these. Definitely keepers.
